  • Church Christmas Party

On Sunday, Dec 17, beginning at 11:30 (following the 10:15 am service) we will gather in the Family Life Center for our annual Christmas Party. Each family is to bring a covered dish to share (meat, beverages and place settings are provided). Please sign up in the Connection Corner so we know how many to prepare for. Punch and “snacks” will be offered before the meal during a time of fellowship. A visit from a “northern” fellow is also expected.  A great time of fellowship is provided for everyone!

  • Prayer Ministry

The people of MPTUMC are invited and encouraged to participate in a time of prayer for the purposes of:

    1. Focusing on God.

    2. Giving thanks to God.

    3. Repentance and asking God for forgiveness.

    4. Presenting requests to God.

    5. Celebrating our relationship with God.

We are meeting weekly on Mondays in the church sanctuary (come in through those doors only) at 1:00 PM. Please come and join us in this very important ministry of our church. Contact Wendy Fenwick or Michele Barnett if you have questions.

  • Bible Study

Beginning Tuesday, September 5, Pastor Keith will be offering a Bible Study at 7:00 p.m.  We will be studying Jesus in the Gospels.  This is a 30 session study that will meet every Tuesday evening.

Purchasing Gift Cards to be used at Giant is a pain –free way to raise money for our debt reduction. Just stop by the Connection Corner during our 10:15 service or see Kathi Sanders at the 8:00 service, then use them as CASH when you go shopping. There is no extra cost to you or the church, and the church gets 5% profit for every card purchased. Just think of how much money would be raised if we all purchased these gift cards!

  • Communion

“Christ our Lord invites to his table all who love him, who earnestly repent of their sin and seek to live in peace with one another.”

Our communion table is open to all who wish to receive the sacrament.  It is celebrated the first Sunday of each month in both services.  Gluten-free wafers are available.

    Please join us!

The Colors of Christmas

Author Unknown

The colors of Christmas are bright and they’re true.

They tell of God’s great love for me and for you.

Blue is the sky where the angels appeared

As they sang “Peace on Earth” to the shepherds who feared.

Silver is for the bright Christmas star

Which guided the wise men from countries afar.

Gold tells of their gifts for the Baby that day

Who they found in a manger asleep on the hay.

Purple for suffering and death on a hill.

Red is the blood which Jesus did spill.

Green shows that Jesus arose from the dead

And saved us and freed us, just as He said.
